Maria Daniela y Su Sonido Lasser: "No Te Aguanto Mas"
The new Maria Daniela single is sweet electro pop confection.
When I first heard it, I was struck by its pure 80s sound, right down to the Grandmaster Flash-style rapping (à la The Message). Sure enough, it's a cover. The original is by a Movida Madrileña-era pop band called Objetivo Birmania. Hallelujah, there's a video!
Here's a translation of that tremendous chorus: "I can't stand you anymore. You're really boring. Don't ever call me."

Unicycle Dancing
Did you know this was a thing?!
Typically, unicycles give me rage seizures, but I am totally on board with unicycle dancing. It reminds me of freestyle canoeing in its utter ridiculousness, but it's surprising graceful, like ice skating.

Panniers
I've been wanting to get some panniers for my bike, but maybe I'll just get some for my hips.
Panniers were a key feature of the 18th century robe à la française. Hoops worn under the petticoat extended the wearer's skirt up to several feet on each side, preventing her from walking through all but the widest of doorways.
