Lio: Banana Split

Dig that Molly Ringwald dance.

I'm wondering if this is like the 80s version of Les Sucettes. In case you don't know the sordid story about the song written by France's most famous dirty old man for the most naïve 18-year-old girl in history, here's an excellent short documentary about it.

I had no idea there was actually footage of Serge asking the 18-year-old France to explain the lyrics to him (1:01)! She responds, It's a little girl who loves lollipops, who buys them at the store for a couple of pennies. And that's all, isn't it? Oh, France.
